S. Chris Anders,

S. Christian Anders is the Commanding General of the States Rights Forces. He has been in the hobby and campaigning since 1986. He started his career at the 125th Antietam, as a private with the 14th Tennessee Volunteer Infantry.
Working on event level, Army, Corps, Division and Brigade staffs and various commands since that time, Chris has organized and commanded many events, including Burkittsville, 1862 (2001), Morton’s Ford (2002), War on the James (2003), Fire on the Mountain (1998, 1999 and 2000), To the Gates of Washington (2004), “Summer of ‘62” (2005), Shenandoah 1862 (2006), September Storm (2007), October 1862 (2007), At High Tide (2008), and other various Artillery, Infantry and Officer School’s and Camps of Instruction and Park Service living histories.
The Chesapeake Volunteer Guard is his home battalion, and hosts many events a year in both blue and gray. Chris is also the commanding General of the new Southern Division, which is the CS hosting organization for the event. Chris currently resides in Ft. Washington, Maryland with his fiancé, and is the national sales director for an analytical equipment manufacturer. |

Mike started with the 125th Chancellorsville, was at Gettysburg, Wilderness, and Appomattox in the 125th cycle. He Was a member of the Excelisor Mess, whose command came from the old Mudsills organization. In 1992, Mike co-founded the 49th NYVI, Joined the Western Brigade for the 130th Gettysburg, and took field command in the Western Brigade the next year for the 130th Wilderness event.
He continued as a battalion and wing commander for many events in the 135th and 140th cycles, and partnered with the Carolina Legion and the Palmetto Battalion to for a Federal Brigade for the 140th 1st Manassas event. Other commands include Franklin, Perryville, Mill Springs,Bentonville, Cedar Creek, and several regional events in Ohio, NY, and PA.
In 2002, Mike ran for Colonel of the Western Brigade in 2002, a position held for 6 years before stepping down to give someone else a chance and to work closer to home with the Common Ground initiative. He has served as an instructor at the Bedford Officer Schools, and was appointed by Kevin Air to be his 2nd in command for "Summer of '62" and "September Storm", and was COS for "At High Tide."
With the 49th NY, joined the Army of the Ohio in 2008, and currently commands at Mumford NY, and running a School of the Skirmisher at Fort Niagara, as well as commanding a company in the Army of the Ohio. Most recently he commanded a brigade at Bentonville this past March.
Mike started as a private and is proudest of the fact that he has never had to seek out or politic for any position, or rank, but has always been asked to take the next step higher. |
